Step into Sherwood Forest for a swashbuckling adventure filled with action, laughter, music, and heart! Robin Hood, the legendary outlaw, leads his merry band in a battle against the tyrannical Prince John, who has seized control of England while King Richard is away on crusade. When Prince John plots to marry Maid Marian—Robin Hood’s childhood sweetheart—in an effort to win over the people, Robin Hood must rally his followers, outwit a corrupt sheriff, and fight to restore justice to the kingdom.

Featuring lively songs including Hi Ho Robin Hood, Never Defeated, Every Maiden Wants to Marry, Come to the Fair, and We Lead a Merry Life, this exciting musical brings the classic tale to life with high-energy sword fights, Irish step dancing, colorful characters, and plenty of comic mischief. Join Robin Hood, Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck, and the rest of the beloved cast of characters for a thrilling journey through Sherwood Forest!

$255 production fee (plus parent volunteer hours)
Scholarships and Payment Plans are available.
This includes up to 70 hours of theater instruction, a show shirt, a character photo, professional performance photos, and numerous opportunities to make friends. Please note that it does not include items such as stage makeup, dance or character shoes, or basic costume pieces (such as black/white/khaki pants, tights, colored socks, etc.).

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

🏹 Robin Hood
The daring outlaw of Sherwood Forest. A natural leader with a strong sense of justice, Robin is clever, charismatic, and devoted to helping those in need while outwitting the Sheriff and Prince John.

🏹 Little John
A loyal and good-hearted member of Robin’s band. Strong and dependable, he stands by Robin through every challenge and often brings humor to the group.

🎭 Will Scarlett
A spirited and energetic member of the Merry Men. Often playful and bold, Will adds personality and flair to Robin’s band.

🌿 Beth
A member of Robin Hood’s merry band. Brave and loyal, Beth helps support Robin’s mission and adds strength and heart to the group dynamic.

🍞 Mother Meg
Another member of the Merry Men. Warm, resourceful, and protective, she brings a nurturing presence to the group.

⛪ Friar Tuck
A jovial monk and devoted follower of Robin Hood. Wise yet humorous, Friar Tuck offers guidance, comic relief, and a strong moral center.

🌹 Maid Marian
Ward of King Richard. Intelligent, kind, and courageous, Marian is torn between her noble responsibilities and her belief in Robin Hood’s cause.

🕊️ Annabel
Maid Marian’s servant. Loyal and attentive, Annabel often supports Marian and provides moments of lightness and charm.

⚖️ Sheriff of Nottingham
The strict and calculating authority figure of Nottingham. Determined to capture Robin Hood, he enforces Prince John’s rule with little compassion.

🛡️ Soldier #1
A soldier in the service of the Sheriff. Loyal to authority and often part of the attempts to capture Robin Hood.

🛡️ Soldier #2 (Kaspar)
Another soldier serving the Sheriff. Can be played with personality—ranging from bumbling to serious—adding flexibility for casting.

👒 Sheriff’s Wife
A clumsy and overly ambitious social climber. Eager to improve her status, she often provides comedic moments.

🎀 Salome
The Sheriff’s silly and spoiled daughter. Dramatic and humorous, she adds levity and exaggeration to the courtly world.

🐍 Lady Merle
An ally of Prince John. Manipulative and self-serving, she works behind the scenes to maintain power and influence.

👵 Old Widow
A poor citizen and victim of the Sheriff’s.  She represents the suffering of the people and the reason behind Robin Hood’s fight for justice.

👑 Stranger/King
A mysterious traveler passing through Nottingham who is later revealed to be King Richard. Observant and wise, he ultimately restores justice.

🎪 Ensemble
Includes additional members of Robin’s band, townspeople, fair attendees, and soldiers. This group helps bring the world of Nottingham and Sherwood Forest to life with energy and variety.
