MONDAY CLASSES:

4:30-5:30 P.M. CLASSES

4–5-year-old Movement
This class will introduce elements of movement and allow for creative exploration. Students will be introduced to common dance structure while experiencing expression through movement with a focus on the opportunity to enjoy and create movement of their own. This creative dance class is in preparation for a more structured technique in the older classes.
Class Instructor: Sara Morris

Beginner Jazz (Ages: 6-7)
This class will teach technique that combines the structure and discipline of ballet with the upbeat style of classic jazz. It will include intentional time spent on the foundational elements of movement and give attention to combinations and “across-the- floor” variations where students will develop the skills to apply the technical components of movement they have learned into their performances. Classes will be leveled the first night of classes.
Class Instructor: Shana Manna

Foundations (Ages 8-9)
This class will focus on developing the dancer’s basic technical ability, flexibility, and strength. It will be deeply rooted in ballet but will also incorporate foundational concepts from jazz and modern techniques. This class is a prerequisite for any intermediate class and highly recommended for all company members.

Although not required, dancers ages 10 and above are highly encouraged to take both foundation classes offered during the week in their age group so as to allow the best opportunity for strength training and growth in technical ability.
