The purpose of a dress code for dance classes is modesty and the elimination of distractions.  Thank you for helping us achieve this at NYT Studio.

We will allow for a 1-week grace period for students regarding the dress code.  If you are waiting on an item you have purchased, please let us know so we can make an exception.  Otherwise, starting week 2, students will be asked to sit in the lobby for not following the required attire.

Please pay special attention to the following items:

  • Hair must be pulled out of the face for all classes (males and females). Buns for ballet.
  • Dance shoes must be worn.  No sneakers; no socks only; no bare feet.
  • No bare legs. Females must have tights or leggings, whichever a class requires.
  • Undergarments should not be visible, with the exception of sports bras.

UNDERGARMENTS
With the exception of sports bras, all undergarments must be covered by clothing.
